Man found with gunshot wound to the head outside Watsonville 7-Eleven

Watsonville Police are investigating a shooting where one man suffered a gunshot wound to the head late Thursday night.

According to Watsonville PD, a 42-year-old man was driving on Ross Avenue around 9:51 p.m. in Watsonville when he said three Hispanic men confronted him. The victim tried to get away but the suspects began shooting at him.

The victim drove to a 7-Eleven to find help. Officers arrived at 455 Airport Boulevard and found the man suffering from a bullet to the head. The victim told police the shooting occurred in the area of Ross Avenue at Gino’s Ct. The man believed the suspects were between 18-20 years old.

The victim was flown to a nearby trauma center. WPD said the victim is in stable condition.
