Santa Cruz Police arrest three people found with a loaded gun and drugs

Three people are behind bars after being caught with drugs and a loaded gun in Santa Cruz.

According to Santa Cruz Police, officers were patrolling the 800 block of Water Street on Saturday, December 2nd, when they noticed three suspicious people in a late model Buick.

Police said the three tried to hide drugs and drug-related items inside the car when they were confronted by the officers. The three were arrested at the scene.

The suspects have been identified as 23-year-old Andrew Tennyson from Santa Cruz, 20-year-old Isaiah Hayden from Soquel and 20-year-old Nicholas Smith from Santa Cruz.

Officers said they found a few grams of meth, prescription pills and a loaded concealed firearm.
