Santa Cruz County offering free Hepatitis A vaccinations

As we have previously mentioned, Santa Cruz County continues to battle an outbreak of Hepatitis A.

The County is now offering free vaccinations as a preventative measure.

Specifically, if you ate food prepared on-site at Boulder Creek Redwood Keg Liquor and Deli between August 15th and September 7th, you are encouraged to get vaccinated. County officials say one person who acquired Hepatitis A was associated with the restaurant.

They tell us the business has since been properly disinfected and has been cleared to continue operations.

Vaccinations will be happening today in Boulder Creek from 2pm to 4pm at the Boulder Creek Recreational Hall.

If you are not able to attend today’s clinic, most primary care physicians offer the vaccine.
