Large amount of meth and two firearms found after traffic violation

Officer’s Noe Rocha and Javier Ayala stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation shortly after 11:00 p.m Thursday night in Watsonville. The two people inside, Gabriel Penuelas and Salvador Aguilera, both have outstanding warrants. Officers then located a loaded firearm and a substantial amount of methamphetamine after searching their vehicle. Officers then went to Penuelas’ residence and located an additional firearm and more methamphetamine. In total over two pounds of meth were seized. Penuelas and Aguilera were arrested for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a loaded firearm, and the outstanding warrants.
