Hollister Fire Department investigating possible arson case

Hollister Fire officials tell us they are currently investigating a fire at Vets Park, that might have been intentionally set this afternoon.

Chief Alvarez says they responded to the park to an equipment room near a baseball field. The fire charred the inside of the room, and damaged golf carts and other equipment, including bleachers near the building.

Alvarez tells us they are in the preliminary phase of investigating whether it was intentional. We will update the story as more detail become available.
