Sheriff’s Office finds nearly one hundred pot plants, guns and hash oil lab at Prunedale home

Three family members were arrested for being in possession of guns, various drugs, and a hash oil lab.

According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday September 5, a narcotics and firearm search warrant was served in the 400 block of Paradise Road in Prunedale. During the search deputies found methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana possessed for sales. Thousands of dollars and two illegally possessed rifles were also seized. A butane “honey oil” lab and nearly 100 marijuana plants were found.

“A honey oil laboratory is an explosive process where highly volatile butane is used to extract THC from marijuana plants,” said the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

55-year-old Maria Magallan a norteno gang member associate was charged with heroin and methamphetamine sales and being a felon in possession of firearms.

57-year-old Arnulfo Magallan was charged with being a felon in possession of firearms and violating probation.

29-year-old Ritchie Magallan a norteno street gang associate was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, cultivation of marijuana and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

All three suspects were taken to Monterey County Jail.
