Sheryl Sandberg: Give your widowed parent permission to find new love
By CNN
(CNN) — Sheryl Sandberg’s husband, Dave Goldberg, died suddenly in 2015 at 47. At the time, she wrote that she believed she would “never feel pure joy again.”
Eleven years later and now married to Tom Bernthal, Sandberg talked with Anderson Cooper on his podcast, “All There Is.” about keeping Dave’s memory alive — and why she wants others to have “permission” to find joy and love again like she did.
To that end, she’s written an open letter about love, to adult children who have lost a parent.
