A shooting in Oakland on Monday morning left one person dead, police said.

The shooting happened on 23rd Avenue at E. 20th Street, north of Foothill Boulevard in the city’s San Antonio neighborhood.

The Oakland Police Department said officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation at about 10:30 a.m. and arrived to find one person who had been shot. The victim died at the scene, police said.

Video showed officers around a tarp-covered body that was next to a older-model Porsche Cayenne outside a liquor store at 23rd Ave. and E. 20th St.

There was no word from police on any suspects. The victim’s identity was withheld until the person’s family was notified, police said.
