CHP says girl taken in Newark was found, deactivates Amber Alert

A 6-year-old girl last seen in Newark Friday was located Saturday after officials believed she was in imminent danger, the California Highway Patrol said.

The Amber Alert was issued around 7 a.m. in Alameda and Santa Clara counties, and the CHP deactivated the alert a few hours later, saying she was located.

The Amber Alert was issued on behalf of Newark police.
