Arrest in UC Santa Cruz hidden camera shower case

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the case of a hidden camera found near showers at UC Santa Cruz.

Daniel Mark Ishofsky was arrested on a “suspicion of invading someone’s privacy through electronic means,” the school said in a news release Friday.

An investigation was launched by the university in July after a camera was discovered near a shower used by female students and apprentices in the farm and garden program.

According to the school, Ishofsky was released on his own recognizance.
