Team Eastwood wins 3M Celebrity Challenge

Celebrities and golf stars were back on the Pebble Beach Golf Links Wednesday for one of the most popular events of the week, the 3M Celebrity Challenge.

Team Murray went up against Team Eastwood for the Clint Eastwood/Bill Murray Cup and big money for charity.

Clint Eastwood was back on the course after the flu forced him to pull out of the challenge in 2017.

The two teams of four are playing what’s called the ‘Whiskey Run.’ They are in twosomes playing an alternate shot on holes 1,2,3,17 and 18. Each hole is worth $20,000 with the money going to the winning celebrity’s charity of choice.

Team Murray has won this challenge the last two years, so could they make it three?

Representing the women again this year was former Georgetown University golfer and Sports Illustrated Model Kelly Rorbach. However, new for 2018, was Hall of Fame golfer and Santa Cruz native Juli Inkster.

Rounding out the teams were more fan favorites and regulars in this event, Josh Duhamel, Clay Walker, Alfonso Ribeiro and Toby Keith.

In the end, team Eastwood won the cup with Ribeiro and Walker winning $40,000 each on the 17th hole.

Eastwood’s team hasn’t won the cup since 2015.

Bill Murray won $20,000 for charity by winning a chip off on the 18th.
