Alcohol beverage license revoked at Rodeo Market in Salinas
The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control announced that alcohol sales at Rodeo Market in Salinas are now prohibited.
ABC revoked the market’s license based on three accusations filed against it. ABC said the two most recent accusations were appealed to the ABC Appeals Board, and the board upheld the findings and disciplinary action on both cases.
The first accusation came after the market sold alcohol to a minor decoy in August 2015. That resulted in a $3,000 fine in lieu of a 15-day license suspension.
The second accusation came after multiple visits from ABC agents between May and June 2017. Agents said they saw the market sell alcohol to a minor. They also said they found two illegal slot machines that gave payouts and said the store sold counterfeit merchandise.
The third accusation came after another minor decoy operation in December 2017.
