Homeless person’s carts catch fire in Santa Cruz

A homeless person’s shopping carts went up in flames in Santa Cruz.

Police and firefighters responded to reports of a fire at Laurel Park Wednesday night. When they arrived two rolling carts full of belongings were on fire on the sidewalk.

“The owner of the property was not around nor did they make themselves known when officers canvassed the area,” said Santa Cruz police.

No word on how the fires started.
