Man to serve 14 years in prison after sexually abusing child

A Castroville man who sexually abused a child entered a plea Wednesday.

Alejandro Lusino Garcia pleaded no contest to sexually abusing a child. He will serve a 14-year prison term as part of this plea, and he will be required to register as a sex offender following his release from prison.

Garcia admitted to sexually abusing Jane Doe beginning when she was 5-years-old. Twelve years later when Doe was 17 years old, she reported the abuse to law enforcement.
