Juvenile officer arrested for molesting teen at Juvenile Hall according to Salinas Police

UPDATE: Monterey County Sheriff’s Office officials tell KION Alvarez has posted bail.

This comes just two days after his arrest for allegedly inappropriately touching a 15-year-old housed at Juvenile Hall.

A Juvenile Officer has been arrested for lewd acts with a teen at Juvenile Hall in Salinas.

According to Salinas Police, a 15-year-old girl came forward and told the probation department that 44-year-old Jesus Alvarez had inappropriately touched her over a period of several days.

The report has been forwarded to the Investigations Bureau.

“A Salinas Police detective conducted several interviews with staff, other residents and watched hours of video while investigating this case,” said Investigations Sgt. Christopher Lane.

Alvarez was arrested and booked into Monterey County Jail for lewd acts upon a child.
