Drugged driver hits “Drive like your kids live here” sign on his way to court

The California Highway Patrol responded to an ironic vehicle accident in Santa Cruz Wednesday morning.

According to CHP, a 31-year-old Tyler Davis was under the influence of drugs when he totaled his Volvo after striking a utility pole while on his way to court.

The crash occurred on Eaton Street around 9:30 a.m.

A sign on the utility pole read, ” Drive like your kids live here.”

“Fortunately no children were injured in this Drug DUI collision,” said CHP.

Davis suffered minor injuries.
