Salinas felon arrested on gun, drug charges

Deputies with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said they served a search warrant in the 400 block of Rico Street in Salinas after a lengthy investigation on a gang member.

During the search, deputies found four handguns, ammunition, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana.

Deputies arrested Jordi Uribe, 20, of Salinas on firearm, narcotics and gang related-charges. Deputies said Uribe, a prior convicted felon, also tried to destroy additional drugs in the rear of the patrol car as he was being taken to the Monterey County Jail.
