Greenfield hires new police chief

The City of Greenfield has hired a new police chief.

Denise Chavez Oglesby will be sworn in on Wednesday, December 20th at the City of Greenfield Civic Center at 6:00 p.m. The center is located at 559 El Camino Real and the public is invited to attend.

Chief Oglesby retired after 34 years with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Her last position with LASD was a Detective Lieutenant in the Narcotics Bureau where she supervised seven sergeants and 22 detectives. She has also worked at the Carson Sheriff’s Station as a Watch Commander/Detective, Twin Towners Jail Los Angeles as the Watch Commander, Sheriff’s Academy as Staff Instructor Sergeant and Cerritos Station as Field Sergeant/Detective Sergeant.

The City of Greenfield is proud to welcome her as the next Chief of Police.
