Trucker robbed at gunpoint outside motel in Marina

Police are investigating the latest in a string of robberies on the peninsula where a truck driver was held up at gunpoint outside a motel in Marina.

Marina Police said, the robbery took place at the Comfort Inn on 140 Reservation Road around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday. Only one suspect is believed to be involved in this case, and he got away with the truckers belongings.

The suspect described as an adult male wearing all black clothing.

Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team (PRVNT) is assisting Marina Police in the investigation.

This marks the sixth armed robbery PRVNT is investigating within the past two weeks.
