Santa Cruz: Drunk driver crashes and rolls SUV into motel sign

A drunk driver lost control of his car, crashed and rolled it onto a street in Santa Cruz.

According to Santa Cruz Police, the accident occurred around 2:12 a.m. when a Watsonville man was driving drunk and lost control of his SUV. The crash was located on the 100 block of Ocean Street at the Ocean Gate Inn.

Police said the driver lost control of his Toyota 4 Runner while driving on San Lorenzo Boulevard and rolled it through the Ocean Gates sign.

21-year-old Jonathan Mullin was arrested for DUI. Mullin sustained minor injuries and no other people or cars were involved.
