ADVISORY: Scotts Valley gas line leak contained

UPDATE: 11/2/2017 2:23 p.m. The gas line leak in the 4600 block of Scotts Valley Drive has been contained. According to Scotts Valley Police, no roadway or other restrictions are in place.

PREVIOUS STORY:

A gas line is leaking in the 4600 block of Scotts Valley Drive.

The Scotts Valley Police Department advises the public to stay away from the area if possible.

The fire department and police responded to the scene around 2 p.m. Thursday. According to police, the location where the gas line broke is where construction work was being done.

The southbound lanes of Scotts Valley Drive are currently closed.

PG&E is on their way to the area.
