Viral video shows sixth graders reaction when she finds out shes been adopted
Sixth-grader Tannah Butterfield, who attends American Heritage School in South Jordan, says the viral video that has made hearts melt all over the world is “the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Well, on second thought, it’s the second best thing. The news that created the moment caught on security camera video at school — that’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her.
Last Monday, Tannah learned that a judge approved her foster parents’ petition to adopt her and her two younger siblings.
When Jackie Alexander (aka Ms. Jackie) delivered the news, Tannah jumped on her, wrapped her arms and legs around her in delight.
Tannah didn’t let go.
“She’s easy to cling to,” she said of Ms. Jackie whom she considers a good friend.
Ms. Jackie, who was feeling gloomy that day after hearing of the massacre in Las Vegas the night before, felt instantly overjoyed at her little friend’s reaction.
