Two victims and dog rescued from cliff in Garrapata State Park

Tuesday, afternoon, Carmel Highlands Fire Protection District (FPD)/CAL FIRE, Pebble Beach Community Services District(CSD)/CAL FIRE, and California State Parks responded to a call for a two victims stranded down a cliff near Garrapata State Park, between the communities of Carmel Highlands and Palo Colorado.

When they arrived, firefighters discovered two victims and a dog stranded 50 feet down a cliff in Garrapata State Park.

Rescue crews helped navigate the victims to safety and had to carry the dog back to Highway 1. There were no injuries.
