King City child in critical condition after falling out of two-story window

King City Police Officers were dispatched to Mee Memorial Hospital on a call that a 2-year-old boy had fallen out of a two-story apartment window onto a concrete patio below on Tuesday afternoon.

When they arrived, officers learned the child had crawled out through an open bedroom window while his mother was in another room.

The infant was flown to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Stanford UMC where he remains in critical condition.

Officers say the investigation continues into the incident, and the mother has been cooperative. She remains at the hospital with her son.

King City officials want to use this as a reminder to parents, caregivers, babysitters and others that small children need to be closely monitored at all times.
