Body found near Highway 101

CHP discovered a body near southbound highway 101 in the Hollister/Gilroy area early Monday morning.

CHP says they received reports of a grass fire, when they arrived at the scene of the fire they found a body.

According to CHP, the two incidents appear to be unrelated.

CHP officials are currently on-scene and the investigation is ongoing.
