Soledad Police Department K-9 receives bulletproof vest thanks to donations

The Soledad Police Department’s narcotics K-9 Hudo will now be patrolling the streets with a new bulletproof vest on.

The “Heroes of Monterey County” foundation donated funds to allow the purchase of the vest, to help Hudo in the line of duty.

Last night, Hudo was able to model the new vest for officials with the organization. The same group donated thousands of dollars to pay for Hudo, who has gained certifications in narcotics detection, aprehension and personal protection.

Hudo can now safely patrol the streets of Soledad with his partner and K-9 handler, Corporal Walter Tinay .
