Monterey County earns top spots on list of “The 38 Most Beautiful Places in America”

Monterey County is in the spotlight, as two popular areas have made the list of Buzzfeed’s “38 Most Beautiful Places in America.”

The compiled list came from a survey done with Buzzfeed readers.

Listed at number eight on their list is the entire city of Monterey. The article quotes one reader who said, “I’ve been going there to visit my grandmother since I was little and it’s absolutely gorgeous! From the scenery to the wildlife to places like the Monterey Bay Aquarium, it has everything.”

And topping the list at number one is Point Lobos in Carmel. One reader tells Buzzfeed their, “Favorite getaway in California is Point Lobos, Carmel. The hike is breathtaking, the trail comes with most jaw-dropping views and sightings.”
