UPDATE: Missing mountain biker has been found

UPDATE: 8/28/2017 5:10 p.m. According to Santa Cruz Search and Rescue, Derek Jameson has been found.

PREVIOUS STORY:

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help locating 52-year-old Derek Jameson.

Jameson is 6’1, 215 lbs, has medium length gray hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen at around noon on Sunday, mountain biking on the trails north of UCSC (approximately 1 mile east of the “Twin Gates” area off of Empire Grade Road).

Derek was said to be riding toward Highway 9. He was reported missing today, after not being in contact with any friends or family. Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Personnel are conduction a search of the area.
