Crews transforming Sand City buildings for annual celebration

Crews are converting buildings and spaces in Sand City for the 16th annual West End Celebration.

About 25 bands will take the stage and 100 artists and vendors will take over west end streets.

Locals and tourists will be able to enjoy performing arts, exhibits and live music.

“It’s Sand City’s gift to the community,” said West End Days Celebration Coordinator Steve Vagnini . “You know because Sand City has always been known as the place that where artists can afford to live, young starting artists.”

The festival will run until Sunday and is expected to draw in about 20,000 people.
