“Ugly” cars on display for Concours d’LeMons in Seaside

The so-called “ugly cars” of Car Week were on display at Seaside City Hall Saturday for the Concours d’LeMons.

The show brings together the best examples of automotive oddballs.

Hoopties, rust buckets, a Pontiac Safari that looks like a Vega but isn’t, a Studebaker bullet and other downright ugly cars were shown off at the lemons event.

Some of them even won thrift shop trophies.

“Some of them were ugly, some of them performed horribly or some of them were once great cars that have been badly neglected and this is about their last chance at any sort of redemption is to come to the concours d’lemons,” said Jonathan Klinger with Hagerty Insurance.

The Concours d’Lemons event this year drew record attendance and car submissions.
