Sheriff’s Office recovers large amount of meth, shotgun, and stolen motorcycle in Salinas

A Salinas man has been arrested, following the confiscation of three pounds of crystal meth.

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office says deputies pulled over 50-year-old Jesus Hector Perez for a routine traffic stop when they discovered Perez was a previous convicted felon and on probation.

On August 15, a search of the vehicle turned up the large amount of meth, thousands of dollars, an illegally possessed shotgun and a stolen motorcycle.

Perez was booked into the Monterey County Jail on dangerous drug, illegal firearm, stolen property possession and violation of probation charges.
