Santa Cruz parolee busted for guns, drugs and stolen property

A Santa Cruz man on felony parole was arrested for being in possession of a gun, drugs, and stolen property.

According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, during a probation search on the 200 block of Blackburn Street, Gang Team Deputies found 31-year-old Michael Lozoya in possession of a Glock 9 millimeter pistol, 9 millimeter ammunition, a digital scale, cash, stolen property, from a recent burglary, and more than 140 grams of methamphetamine.

After the probation search on August 5, Lozoya was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.

“On 8/15/2017, Gang Team Deputies determined the Glock pistol found in Mr. Lozoya’s home during the probation search was a stolen gun taken during a recent burglary in the City of Santa Cruz,” said Lt. Greg Lansdowne.
