Santa Cruz Police: Drunk man drives onto railroad tracks

A San Jose man has been arrested for driving onto railroad tracks in Santa Cruz.

According to Santa Cruz Police, around 12 a.m. Thursday, 27-year-old Andrew Greteman was driving drunk when he got his white 2017 Dodge Challenger stuck on the railroad tracks near Chestnut.

SCPD officers found Greteman walking down the tracks away from his car.

“The investigation revealed that the Challenger drove onto the basketball court at the end of Chestnut, drove through a fence and then the railroad tracks,” said Police.

Andrew Greteman has been charged with public intoxication and transported him to the Santa Cruz County Recovery Center. As for the new car, it was towed away.
