Scotts Valley School District ranks top 100 in the state

Scotts Valley Unified School District (SVUSD) was ranked among the top 100 school districts in the state by Niche.com, a company that analyzes aspects of schools and colleges across the nation and then ranks those schools and colleges based on said analysis.

Niche ranked Scotts Valley Unified School District 98th out of 474 school districts in California, putting SVUSD in the top 20.7 percent of school districts the company analyzed.

According to Niche, the 2018 K-12 rankings are based on “rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the US Department of Education along with test scores, college data and ratings collected from millions of Niche users.”

SVUSD teachers were ranked 129th out 472 school districts and 173rd out of 472 school districts in regards to safety.

Academics earned an “A-” from Niche, while college prep earned an A+, Diversity earned a B- and Resources and Facilities earned a C-; however, plans to re-model the middle school are underway.
