Stolen art sculpture found in the ocean near Natural Bridges

A Scotts Valley art sculpture valued at $8,000 has been found.

The Scotts Valley Police Department followed up on a tip that “Uncle Buck” the stolen Art Walk sculpture might have been seen in the ocean near Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz.

Santa Cruz Harbor Patrol and California State Parks assisted with the recovery to locate the art piece in the kelp beds.

The buck was stolen Monday from out front of the community center in Scotts Valley.

PD said the owner was excited to get her sculpture back even though it suffered some damage.
