Dramatic high water rescue in Texas

Emergency crews made a dramatic rescue in San Antonio Monday morning (08/07) after a car got stuck in rushing flood waters.

The driver had to crawl to safety on a fire truck ladder that was extended over the water.

Heavy rains and thunderstorms dumped water on San Antonio flooding parts of the city, closing roads and cutting off power.

A flash flood warning for Bexar County was extended until after 12 noon local tme as the storms rolled through San Antonio. Up to five inches of rain hit parts of the county since the rain started falling around 7 a.m.
