Burglary crew arrested in Santa Cruz County

A burglary crew was busted in Santa Cruz County on Saturday.

According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, two deputies were patrolling the 1100 block of Eureka Canyon Road in Corralitos when they heard a residential alarm going off. The deputies then stopped by the home for a security check and noticed a door had been pried open.

A man passing by then told deputies that he saw some suspicious people leaving the creek bed a few hundred yards up from the home that had been burglarized.

Several more deputies responded to the area and detained the suspects. The suspects have been identified as Alejandro Vega, Elise Johnson, Carlos Bollanos-Reyes and Briana Lopez.

They were caught with property stolen from the home. They also had burglary tools and drug related items.

All four suspects were booked into the Santa Cruz County jail.
