Pacific Grove: Portion of Highway 68 reduced to one lane starting Monday

Beginning on Monday, a section of Highway 68 in Pacific Grove will be reduced to one lane. Pavement will be repaired from Prescott Lane to the Scenic Drive Overcrossing. Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m each day. “It’s basically a job to ensure the roadway remains safe. Pot-holing, paying attention to any cracks in the roadway. It’s a way for us to stay ahead of any problems that occur down the line,” said Caltrans Jim Shivers. The road work will begin Monday and ends Friday. Both lanes are being repaired. The CHP will be out there to assist with traffic.
