Armed robbery at Shell gas station in Watsonville

The Watsonville Police Department is searching for two suspects believed to have robbed a Shell gas station employee at knife point.

According to Police, the robbery occurred at the Shell gas station at 1830 Freedom Boulevard, Friday, July 28.

The employee told police two suspects entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. One of the suspects was armed with a large knife. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspects ran from the store on Green Valley Road towards Holohan Road. The employee was not injured.

The suspects are described as being Hispanic males in their early 20’s. Both suspects were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

There is video surveillance of the incident from the store and the investigation is ongoing.
