SOLEDAD: Semi-truck collides with family van

Five people were taken to the hospital after a semi-truck and family van collided.

According to Cal Fire, firefighters from Soledad station along with crews from Greenfield fire Protection District responded to the area near the intersection of Arroyo Seco Road and Thorne Road around 5:23 p.m. Monday.

Crews found a total of five people injured, two adults and three children, all of which needed to be transported to local area hospitals. One adult and one child were flown to the hospital by helicopter. The other adult and two children were taken by ground ambulance.

No further information on how the crash occurred or the condition of those injured at this time.
