Handguns and drugs seized in King City, gang members arrested

Two gang members and a woman were arrested in King City for possession of weapons, drugs and child endangerment following a month long investigation.

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a vehicle Wednesday in the Pine Canyon area. Inside the car, deputies found a stolen loaded semi-automatic handgun and methamphetamine. Gang members Andrew Gregory, 28, and Julio Meraz, 31, were arrested.

A probation search was also served at the home of Michelle Irvine on Pine Canyon Road. There deputies found another loaded semi-automatic handgun, thousands of rounds of ammunition, methamphetamine and marijuana. The 43-year-old was also arrested.

The sheriff’s office said the drugs and handgun were in easy reach of an infant and an 8-year-old child. They are in custody of child protective services.

The suspects are prior convicted felons.
