DUI suspect Andre Lopez arrested for major injury collision on Highway 1 at Buena Vista

UPDATED 6/15/2017 3:09 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Andre Lopez is the man in custody for Wednesday’s car accident on Buena Vista.

6/14/2017 5:23 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car chase led to a suspected DUI driver crashing into another vehicle on Buena Vista, in Watsonville .

The DUI suspect fled on foot but officers were able to arrest him.

A male victim was trapped inside his car but was rescued by firefighters.

CalStar has air lifted crash victim to Valley Medical.
