Violence Suppression Unit arrest wanted man in Salinas

The Salinas Police Violence Suppression Unit arrested a wanted man on Monterey Street Tuesday.

According to police, VSU had help from the California Highway Patrol and Parole. The man was wanted on $185,000 in warrants.

A CHP drug dog then alerted officers to a car in the area and officers found 46 grams of heroin, 3.5 grams of meth,

10 hydrocodone pills, packaging materials and cash. A man inside the car was also arrested.
