Seaside Police will increase traffic enforcement this week

If you are driving through Seaside this Thursday be sure to follow the law.

The Seaside Police Department will increase traffic enforcement on Thursday June 8.

The S.T.O.P.P. team (Strategic Traffic Operations and Prevention Program) will be out in full force. The program is made up of local peninsula and south county law enforcement traffic teams including Seaside, Marina, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel, Salinas and Greenfield.

Drivers should be sure to wear their seat belt, drive the speed limit, and follow the rules and laws on the roadway. Seaside PD said it will have many officers looking for violators.

The department’s goal is to enhance safe driving for the community and minimize distracted driving that is often a contributing factor to car accidents.
