Loch Lomond makes best reservoir list in the Bay Area

Loch Lomond in Felton makes the top six list for best reservoirs in the Bay Area.

The secluded lake located in the Santa Cruz mountains has been given this title in an article posted by Lee Degraw for BayArea.com

Degraw said, “The 4.5-mile Loch Lomond Trail loop starts out along the shore and then gradually rises above it along a ridge that has stunning views of the Santa Cruz Mountains and lake below. The trail is moderate and the landscape changes from redwoods to oak trees and back again several times. If you have a whole day to spare, consider renting a rowboat after your hike and drifting out on the serene surface of the lake for a bit.”

The top 6 Reservoirs listed are:

1. Lexington Reservoir- Los Gatos Area

2. Lake Anza- Berkeley

3. Bass Lake Trail- Bolinas

4. Lake Temescal- Oakland

5. Lafayette Reservoir- Lafayette

6. Loch Lomond- Felton
