New book features interesting characters of Carmel

A new book spotlights some of the artists, writers and restaurateurs who’ve shaped the history of Carmel.

Author Lisa Crawford Watson held a signing Saturday for her book, ‘The Legendary Locals of Carmel,’ which chronicles nearly 200 people from 1903 until present day.

The book even draws from Carmel’s K-9 community.

“I think those who know Carmel and live in Carmel will get to experience something special they already know and love and have it as a treasure,” said Crawford. “I think those who don’t will come to learn a little bit more about what makes this place so special.”

The book is being sold for $21.99 at select shops in Carmel.
