Open houses set for Santa Cruz transportation plan

Walkers, hikers and cyclists can comment on a draft plan to create a network of walkways and bike paths in the City of Santa Cruz. The city’s Active Transportation Plan seeks to connect neighborhoods and communities, and provide safer access to employment, recreation, and other opportunities.

The city will hold two open houses to discuss the plan. The first is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Bayview Elementary School from 5:30 to 7 p.m.. The second will Thursday, Oct. 20, at Gault Elementary School, from 6 to 7:30 p.m..
