Stolen vehicle recovered in Scotts Valley

Two people are behind bars after they were caught driving a stolen vehicle in Scotts Valley.

According to police, 22-year-old Robert Foley and 35-year-old Julia Jacobs were traveling on Mount Hermon Road at about 11:45 p.m. Monday night. That’s when an officer spotted the vehicle and completed a records check to confirm it was reported stolen out of Santa Cruz.

The vehicle made an abrupt turn into the Kings Village Shopping Center and came to a stop. As the officer approached, the two exited the vehicle and tried to walk away, but both were quickly caught.

A search of the vehicle uncovered narcotics, drug paraphernalia and suspected stolen property.

Foley and Jacobs are now facing several charges, including Violation of Probation.
