Body found in Branciforte Creek, police say

A body was found in Branciforte Creek Monday afternoon in Santa Cruz, according to police.

There’s not a lot known about how the body ended up there, but police said it is being investigated as a suspicious death.

Investigators are waiting for a toxicology report from the Santa Cruz County Coroner.

People in the neighborhood were interviewed but so far, no witnesses have come forward with information, police said.
