Hollister woman tries to rob Wells Fargo Bank

A Hollister woman is facing multiple charges after police said she tried to rob a Wells Fargo Bank on Thursday.

Officers said Joanna Martinez, 24, was asked to leave the bank at 575 San Benito Street earlier in the day but returned around 5:39 p.m.

During the second visit, bank employees reported she destroyed multiple pieces of office equipment, threatened employees and shouted, “this is a hold up!”

Martinez was arrested and booked in jail on charges including attempted robbery, vandalism and trespassing.
